AC charging vs DC charging

AC charging - medium speed charge type (up to 22kW) which uses an existing electricity network with no conversion required to supply the EV. More than enough for everyday charging needs.

DC charging - fast charging network with the expensive infrastructure required to convert alternating current to direct current which then directly charges the car battery. Expensive though can provide 100km of range in 5 minutes.
